9x9 Piston House in Minecraft 1.16 - In this video we go back to 2015 when I built my first piston house. It's a modest Minecraft house, with very few complicated redstone contraptions, but it definitely caught peoples attention. Now over 5 years later, I thought I would revisit this idea and see if I can bring this old school redstone into Minecraft 1.16 with some serious upgrades to the build.

That looks great! Only one question tho: if you're using a wall as the door, why don't you put an iron door instead of a wooden one since iron doors require redstone and the wooden one can open regularly?

Ah yes, using cobblestone to make stone to make the refined stone, then using a cutter to make those refined stones into slabs- just for some basic house build in minecraft. Work in architecture here- we typically call them weather stripping or door seals rather than draft excluders, although the two terms are not exactly the same. Weather stripping is usually used more with modern doors and construction that’s up to par with current codes. These doors have smaller gaps and a tighter fit overall, with (usually) neoprene gaskets around the frame to seal the door (hence weather stripping). If it’s being retrofit to an existing, subpar door, exterior or interior, we typically call it a door seal. These are what you’d normally buy and install on your own.
